Shin Sekai Ju-Jitsu

Age-old combat for a New World

About Us

Here at Shin Sekai Ju-Jitsu Dojos we train in the ancient art of traditional Japanese Ju-Jitsu (not to be confused with the competitive sport of Brazilian Jiu-jitsu). Ju-Jitsu is a martial art which has been used for many centuries by the Japanese Samurai warriors. We bring Ju-Jitsu bang up to date as a formidable self defence system that is as effective on the streets today as it was on the battlefields centuries ago. If you are interested in improving your fitness and learning tried and tested self defence techniques, get in touch with us today.

Sensei Yoan Stoyanov - 1st Dan (Shodan)

I began my martial arts journey in 2004 with ITF Taekwondo reaching the grade of blue belt. I then moved to a more combat orientated Goshin Ryu Ju-Jitsu in 2010, achieving the grade of Shodan/1st Dan black belt in 2018. I have been an instructor since then, training under Sensei Garcia and Sensei Lamb.
In addition I have trained briefly in Wing Chun, Kendo and olympic style Taekwondo and experimented with Tai Ji Chuan in Beijing and more locally with Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
Despite the variety, Japanese Ju-Jitsu remains my primary style with lessons and wisdom borrowed from each art.
I am currently based in Romania with regular visits to the UK to continue my training with Shin Sekai Ju-Jitsu.
